Dear Marie,

Count me in too! You are not alone in this...it just feels like it now. Here we all know what you are going through because we are all going through it. I lost my husband to a sudden heart attack three months ago and I still have moments of disbelief. The shock is so huge, it is difficult to come to grips with. We loved to travel and explore together and now I am doing it alone, trying to come to a new normal. But in the beginning weeks and months, I could only get through the days. I was literally hanging on by my fingernails just to do that. Exhausting and so lonely, like someone had set me adrift in the ocean all alone. Who knows what this new life will look like but we'll get there, all holding hands and pulling each other along. Grab hold! There's plenty of room. Big hugs to you!

We are all marching down the same road, some are in front, some are way behind but we all are bound the the loss of a loved one. We all are here to share and to help eachother make it down that road. If you need a friend, you can count on me too. hugs, Shirley

Marie, so sorry for your loss. My husband passed away in August. This is still so new to me so I know what you are going through. I dread the upcoming holidays. Christmas has always meant so much to our family.I did not plan on doing anything but my kids and counselor feel differently. I hope you have family and friends close by that will be there for you to make it a little easier. If not, you can always find support here. I also would like to be your friend. CHERI

Hello Marie, so very sorry for your loss. It has been a year 12-8-08 passing of husband. His birthday 12-24 our 40th wedding anniversary 01-23 so it is like a very heavy fog, this time of year. Trying to look the part of holding it all together, I probably could get an award:) This is a very caring group, just keep taking one step at a time.

Marie, I would be proud to be your friend. I lost my husband to pancreatic cancer on July 7th 2007. I have found some wonder friends on this board and they have helped me to start living again.
