Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
We had one about a year-1/2 ago that was a little more heated...I called her a "Hillbilly" and she called me a "City-Slicker"...for us, that was really gettin-down! But it ended like they all did, with "I Love You."
What I wouldn't give to have just one more...
I miss his tender, loving kisses when I was sad,
I miss his strong, manly hands to hold mine,
I miss his dimples that looked like craters on his whiskery cheeks,
I miss his stealing my can of soda while I was driving,
I miss him telling me he loved me more,
I miss his coffee breath and slow, lingering whispers in my ear,
I miss the way he used to call me "button" because of my pug nose,
I miss him so much!
Roz
I miss his touch
I miss the way he teased me
I miss his phone calls when he was on the road
I miss everything we shared
I miss HIM
It just seems so unfair. People fight and get divorced but are still alive while we were best friends and found delight in the simple things together and now I walk alone.
Peace, Tim
