i hate to sound like a broken record but another day that I just feel I can’t deal with living without him anymore. It is 12 weeks today that he left me. I have more questions than answers. I hate being at home alone. People tell me including the grief counselors that I need to find myself. I was myself when he was with me. We did everything together and now I have no desire to do anything on my own. Life without him is not a life I want to live anymore.

I live in Washington State in a nice gated community. There are quite a few single women who live here.

Lostmytruelove, I am so sorry that you are going through this too. Everyone says it will get easier, I hope it really does.
I lost my husband a little over 3 years ago. I too felt like you do and sometimes still feel that way. Its a long long journey, with lots of twists and turns. as many here have already said just take it day by day and minute by minute. If today's the day for never ending tears so be it. You are among people who know your feelings of loss and despair. There are so many things that change for us when we lose our loved ones. There's no explanation or right way to do this grief stuff. Hugs to you and we are here for you.

For one, he did not approve of multiple piercings in a woman's ears. No reason, he just didn't approve! So I quickly proceeded to add one more piercing to each of my ears. I even bought diamonds for the new piercings! Smile.
He never wanted to purchase new furniture, "What we already have is fine!" So, yep, I went out and purchased new furniture! And I enjoyed every minute of it. I wish the "rush" could have lasted longer! Ha, ha.
I wanted to purchase a small home in the town where our health insurance provider had their clinic, to save us a trip through the mountains when either of us became ill. Him: 'Not a good idea, too expensive in the long run". Yes, you guessed right, I bought another home close to our insurance provider. I am doing just fine financially!
My late husband was an amazing man and never allowed me to want for a single thing. He was extremely good to me and I miss him dreadfully. BUT I am trying to give you an idea on how YOU can survive! BE GOOD TO YOURSELF!
Good luck!
