I send you my deepest sympathy and prayers that you will find some comfort in this awful time. It is just 5 weeks since I came home to find a police woman waiting for me to tell me my husband had died of a massive heart attack and the shock and pain of the hours afterwards are truly frightening. But you are not alone because the ds group will be here to support you every step of the way as they have me and I know that you will find comfort in that.

I am so sorry for your loss. It may hard to believe now, but it really does get better, and you will find a lot of love and support on this site. I agree with others that you really need to focus on your needs now and take one day at a time. I am 7 months out from the loss of my husband and I still have ups and downs, but it is more manageable now. Feel free to share what you feel here; we all understand. laurabp

I want to thank each of you for the sweet notes you have sent me. I offer my sympathies to each of you for your losses as well. You will go on for yourself and your family. Its going to be painful and don't know personally when the light will be seen but i do believe our spouses would want us to see a better day

I Fam sorry for your loss. Family and friends are the greatest support right now. When they ask what they can do for you, tell them. It may be as simple as making coffee or going for a walk with you. We are here for you anytime of the day or night.

More than anything, I am sorry for the sadness/pain that you are suffering right now because I know exactly how it feels. Let other people take care of you right now! When they offer, let them do it. I am so sorry for your loss. Know that everyone on this site is here for you. It's been 2 1/2 years since I lost my husband Jesse and I still find it very hard to get through my days. This journey is hard one with many. many ups and downs. I know I would not have made it this far without the comfort, the encouragement of everybody I come to know on this site. They have been here for me and continue to be here for me especially when I fall. Have faith and know that one day you will be together again..

I know the pain that you are going through. I just lost my husband of 29 years on July 4th, 2009. The pain is so intense that crying is the only way out. Cry, scream, laugh, shout, talk loud because that is all we can do at this time. I go to the gravesite everyday sometimes even twice a day and I can tell you it hurts so much. I talk to him everyday and ask him why? What happen why did he leave me? I want to give up but I have two kids ages 29 and 19 and it is not fair for them so I have to keep fighting for them. I have to be strong for them because they need me but that does not mean I dont cry or scream. I miss him so much that every minute seems so hard to get through. I live minute by minute. My daughter is very supportive. My son is great also although he sometimes has his moments and I think he is trying to act as grown up as possible. Just hang in there for your kids, they need you. I miss my husband so much that I try to find his scent all over the house. My husband used to say time makes things get easier but you don't forget and the pain is still there. He said this when his dad and sister passed away. I ask him to come in my dreams and tell me he is okey and he is with his family and is well taken care and he is happy. I know that words seem like the least thing we want to hear at this time because alll we can think and want is our husband back with us. I love my husband and miss him so much.
