I'm so sorry... sorry for the little oddities that cause us all to lose our balance, set us back and slap us in the face with our grief... Whether it's a word, phrase, look, smell, memory - there are so many things that bring us back to the painful reminder that we've lost something precious. There are no words to make it better... just a kinship that we are out here, and that we understand...

March 22 for me . Seems like last week. Its beena fast year for me. I think my first 4 to 5 months I was in shock. This last month I have been very sad because it just feels so real now and final. I have to find the strength to move on.

All last year I said my husband died just before Christmas. Now, another Christmas has passed, so I have to say in 2009. Yes, it makes it sound like ancient history to others, but to us it is still as fresh and painful as the day he died. I am at 14 months and I guess I'm doing OK, but today I had a meltdown and cried for a couple of hours. Beautiful day outside, here in north FL, and I walked around looking at the beautiful flowering trees so full of color, pink, white, lavendar. Joe loved our place and loved flowers. As I was awed by the beauty, I felt a knife in my heart that Joe wasn't with me. I even cried outloud to him, "Joe, can you see the Bradford pear tree in full bloom???? I want you to see it!!!" Tears, tears, tears.

Boy does this hit a spot. I lost Jack Nov 2009. Sounds like a long time ago. Doesn't it. Time to move on I believe people are starting to think. Don't they know, it's only been 15 months. We were together 36 years. Had just celebrated out 30 wedding anniversary. In many ways it was like yesterday. No words to help...just the kinship of knowing there are many like us... I just miss him. Simply miss him. Just as we all miss our loved one, in that we are one in our grief. Go bless us all.

My husband died of an aneurysm last February, and I know how you feel. I just am still in shock it seems. I just can't believe he is gone. I think aneurysms are so bad. They are a ticking time bomb, that goes off. It is just like war. My prayers are with you. Hugs~Shelley

My husband died March 12th last year- unimaginable that it has been a full year.......................

yesterday i told my sister it was 3 months ,and she said "Gosh it seems so long ago" i dont know if that was a good thing or what it meant. To me it was so long ago, & just yesterday? I am sorry for you pain, today and always.

For me it has just been almost 4 months. I read your post and responses and I cry for all of us that we have to endure this sadness, loneliness and pain. I am thinking of you and hoping that we can find some peace and joy in our lives again. No one understands how much we need this than those of us that are living it day to day. Hugs to all of you. March 24th for me. I can't believe how fast it went and it does seem like only yesterday or a week or so ago. I'm doing better, but still missing John like crazy, but at least I can function now (which just came to be lately).I look back and remeber thinking how in the world am I going to live without him? I am doing it and each day gets a little bit easier. I'm looking forward to that day. For one, I'll be gald to get it over with, and two, I can pat myself on the back and say I've made it and will continue to do so.

March 9th will be a year since Dan's been gone. At times seems like only yesterday and at times seems like I've been without him forever.

My husband also passed away in March 2010. It does feel like time has flown by and I am stuck...I feel like I miss him now more than ever:( It is still so unreal.
