Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

So Me and My Fiancé found out we were expecting Jan,3 2016 We were so exciting and wanted it for so long! On March,23 2016 (11 weeks pregnant) I lost my Fiancé after we had a Home invasion. It’s been two yrs. since he’s been gone and a year since our son was born. The feelings and emotions are still the same as the day I lost him. I’ve never really seeked Therapy or help with dealing with it after it happened. For along time just felt like know one will understand until I came across this support group. Hoping that talking with people whom have similar situations will help.

I had some old posts. Hopefully they will help you. You are starting to reach out, which I think is an excellent choice. You may also consider grief counseling. Not that he/she will magically wave your problems away, but it will help you to talk it out, and provide some feedback for you based on their experience. There are many emotions that you'll need to experience and to express them. Writing them down (Journaling) is a good exercise - even if it is just six words at a time.
Please know that we understand none of what you are going through now is easy. I compare it to the pain after removing a wisdom tooth. It is like a nerve pain that just wouldn't stop. We can't fix it for you but we are thinking of you, and hope in time you will be able to master living a life without him.
