Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

I lost my husband on July 28, 2016. We were only married for 18 months. I thought we had our who lives together, but it was short lived. There is nothing wrong with the way you feel. I feel the same way. If you wanted to be alone, you wouldn't have gotten married. I don't believe God put people on this earth to be alone. My husband was a great man, he did everything for me. I used to call him my house husband and he would just laugh, but he took care of me, and I miss that. In a marriage we tend to take our partners for granted, not in a bad way we just assume they will always be there, and usually that's not going to be the case. We know that death will be coming for one of us, but you love each other so much until you never think about it. You just want to spend the rest of your life with them, so when you lose a spouse, you feel lost and alone. So I understand how you feel. If you need to talk...I'm here.
Take care
Samantha
