I personally don't like real estate agents. Most, if not all, have no civil human qualities about themselves. They will do what ever it takes to make a sale, which includes lies, bullying, harassment, etc. Your better off without this one!

OMG YES! From the point of my husband's death, people told me how to live my life. You must do what is best for you.

Real estate agents are licensed through the State. You can look up online the licensing board in your State and how to file a complaint against him/his license for unethical conduct. I think he should be reported.

He sounds like a vulture, and I am sorry you and your daughter were subjected to that kind of abuse.

I wonder if he even knew your husband. I got several calls from people claiming they were calling Cliff back, that he had called them "a week ago" when Cliff had been dead for many months. It is stunning the lies some people tell....

I am sorry so many of you have had seriously awful experiences with real estate agents as I have been one for over 20 years and would never think of doing what was done to you and your daughter. That is the lowest form of harassment and totally unethical. I too think he should be reported to the state, the local board that he belongs to and also to his personal company broker. Believe me, I have heard for years that real estate agents are one step above used car salesmen. I have always tried to conduct myself with the utmost of integrity and caring for my clients needs and have always believed that if I put them first my reward will come. there is no need to take advantage of anyone and especially someone who is in a weaken state from grieving. I know that there are unfortunately many who will do what ever it takes to make a sale, but there are also many who will do whatever it takes to meet the clients needs and keep their best interest first and foremost. That is how I have lived my professional life and my clients refer me time and time again because of those qualities. It sounds to me like many of you have had unpleasant experiences with realtors and I guess all I can say is we are not all like that and if you should cross paths with another realtor when you have need of one, interview them thoroughly and listen to what they say and then judge them. If they do not sound sincere, run as fast as you can. I know there are " ambulance chasers" out there who prey on Widows. I think that stinks and would never do it. I am sorry you had to go through that but please don't judge me by what others do. Judge me by what I do. thank you for letting me vent on this

My immediate reaction was the same as Martha. He needs to be reported to the group he works through and the licensing agency. This is very disturbing and not tolerated. Your daughter can probably help you deal with the matter. Sharon

So sorry you had this experience piled atop your grief. This punk needs to pay for what he has done. When you report his conduct, use the email he sent to your daughter to hang him. When we sold my parent's house after they passed, we had a really wonderful agent, who went above and beyond to help. It is disgusting that bacteria like this soils the perception of a very valuable and respected profession.

It's a sad thing about some sales people--they lose their humanity and think only of making money. I was in sales for over seven years, and knew plenty of people like him. I even started to change due to the constant pressure by bosses to make money or else. I left sells because I didn't want to wake up and find myself a vulture like this real estate agent.

I would report him.

This is the first time we have ever encountered such a scum. I have worked with very professional agents so I know not all are like him. My daughter sent back a very professional e-mail to him to let him know what we do is none of his business. She did look into filing a complaint on this person. Thank you all for your support.

Just a thought. Make sure that his broker ( the person responsible for the company and all their salespeople, usually the owner) gets a copy of the email and do file that complaint with the licensing division of your state and his local board of realtors. That stays on his record and is a black mark he deserves. He earned it
