Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

I have been thinking as we are battling with the dissatisfaction of having a new webpage that does 80% of the old one did. I had a preview of the beta site, and like everyone else here, of course did not like it. And of course, quitting is always one of the options - it is the easy way out. But do we want the easy way out?
I had done my circling around different griefing websites before settling here. What makes this forum unique is that a small section of long time members stayed around to help the new members. Think about this for a second. Someone appreciated this service enough that he/she decide to stay back time after time to pass along sympathy and wisdom, to relive someone else's pain. I haven't seen online forums that operates with such passion and kindness very often. And then I think of the example Darcie has been trying to set for us. We can always take the easy way out, but in doing so it always lead us back to the place we want to get away from in the first place. So to repeat Scottie's message, we have to keep moving forward, and it is my hope that as many within our group will stay together.
Technology is just a media to get our thoughts together, but it is the people that make the community. And we have a strong one that is here.
