Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Cheers
Rachel
I am pretty new here also. It is comforting to just read the posts from others and see they have found some light. Being a widow/widower is such a confusing time with all the emotions and new responsibilities. We now have a different role in society that no one can understand unless they have experienced it themselves. It is a lonely road, but when I am on here I feel less lonely. I pray you find some comfort and peace here as I have. Hugs.
When you are comfortable, please share more with the group about your loss and what you are struggling with and where you need help. My husband died unexpectedly 1 year ago and I am still riding the rollercoaster that Rebl3157 speaks of although it's not quite as "hellish" as one year ago. I have 2 sons (18 and 22) so am focused on family, my faith, and building a new existence for myself after the loss. I thank God for the blessings that I still have (my children, gardens, home and a job that permits us to continue on after the loss of my husband of 20 years). You'll find great comfort on this site with the relief of knowing that those you are reaching out to know exactly how you feel. Be Blessed Sharmar and come back often.
Hugs
