Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
So sorry for what your going through again, I can even imagine. The pain of losing my husband after 21 years married and 25years together is awful and I can’t imagine going through it again.
At least your wife is home with you, as was my husband and I’m thankful for being able to hug and kiss him in his final hours. Stay strong and know you and your wife are in my prayers and thoughts.
Maybe try finding another group that can offer more support then just a few. Also I have bought a couple books on grief which have wonderful. One is called “Getting to the other side of grief”. Great book!
For the most part though, it is becoming like a morgue (please forgive me for saying that). Appears there is noone around. Very sad as I think it does help us when we are here to share and connect.
I am very new to your group as I have just lost my husband on January 30th of this year. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm taking a break from another, more active forum as the mods are letting non-widows/widowers onto the forum to gripe about how hard it is to date widows and widowers. "Advice for the lovelorn" forums are a dime a dozen. The unique loss of one's life partner is worthy of a specialized forum. Additionally, it's frustrating and sometimes difficult enough path to navigate without someone signing up just to complain how high maintenance we are.
