Hi , sorry for your loss . It's almost 4 months for me and the pain is still unbearable . Just drinks loads of water and cry it out . Crying helps cleansing . Journal helped me a little . And try staying with someone you are close to for couple of months . Staying alone would be very hard . Read scriptures or some solace . Just do whatever makes you a little comfortable during this difficult time .healing and peace for you .

Hi Boo. I am so sorry for your loss. We all know your pain all too well. But we survive minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. Time and lots of it semi-heals our broken hearts. Everyone is here to support each other and lend an ear. Few understand this pain unless they also suffered the loss of the love of their life. Better they don't understand. Hello I am so sorry for your loss, I lost my husband on September 8th, and some days are still just unbearable, however there are a few pretty OK days in here, like the previous post, don't try staying by yourself, stay with someone your really close too, for me it's my sister, drink plenty of water, or clear fluids, I know from experience I was drinking lots of sodastuff and teas and develop a kidney infection, which came from me compromising my immune system, by not eating, and drinking unhealthy, basically not taking care of myself, people always said be sure to eat, you have to eat, don't make yourself sick like I did please, you will feel even more horrible, so Please take it from me, I experienced it and it is absolutely the worst!!..try tapping into your spiritual belief, what ever it is you believe in, for me it is the Holy Bible, I have made a habit of before I talk to anyone in the day I go before God in prayer, then I read the scripture of the day, and in the particular app I have on my phone, it has different plans you can tap into, that alone gave me the most comfort and strength, and then I found this website. It has been a God send for me, because I can get on here and tell exactly how I am feeling and exactly what I am experiencing, and I just feel as Ifar everyone here knows what I am going through because we have all lost someone near and dear to us, our spouse, best friend, lover, pillow talker, our everything, and we have been forced into this world of being Single:((!!..so unexpectedly, so whatever seems to bring you the most peace that's what you do, don't rush into anything, you were forced to find a new Normal, so do it on your terms, and your way.

I lost my wife of 35 years in an auto accident and she was gone instantly. Took a helicopter ride to the hospital. This was October 8th. I know what you're going through as do all the others on here. Although it may seem all is lost you have to live day by day. I never knew someone was capable of cryng as much as I have. Try to stay as positive as possible.

Not being with someone during their last minutes of life doesn't define your life together. I was there as my husband struggled to breath for hours before he died. That haunts me. Either way it is never easy to separate with the person we love deeply and dearly.

I lost my husband three years ago this December . The unconditional love he had for me will protect me for ever and this has gives me tremendous strength. It is bitter sweet because his death has taught me how to live so he is still alive and always will be forever and ever

Those early days of grief are so hard. I'm at the 9 month mark and I still ache but the pain doesn't stab quite as deep. I used to write letters to my husband just telling him all that I missed about him and things that were going on in my life. I usually would have a very good cry with this and feel much better after.
