Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

New to the group. I guess Ill start out by saying I'm 29 years old... and I lost the love of my life, best friend and most important person to me only a month ago. While planning the next step in our lives (by house hunting) I witnessed my husbands death. Sadly he was hit in the head by a falling tree and the horror of this event has haunted me. He just turned 30 and we had so much in this life to do together. I have forced myself to no think of it so much because I don't want to think of the events that occurred a month ago..... begging him to breath, the blood, the white skin, the white sheet as they place it over his beautiful body.... I wake up every morning hoping it's just a horrible nightmare but am forced back into reality.... I miss him tremendously but by forcing myself to be strong I feel like I'm not allowing myself to griev the way I need to be. Unsure how this group thing will help but I guess it's worth a try.
