Kymberly
Anyway, the night before the morning he passed the nurse told me it would be his last night on earth. I asked her at some point to leave the room, I don't remember what time and I crawled in bed with him. His breathing was very very quick like he had been running they told me this was part of his "transitioning". I had come to detest that word. He was of course unable to move but I knew he could hear me. I put my arms around him and I layed on my side on his chest, I layed there for hours. I prayed to Jesus, I asked the precious Holy Spirit to come down and saturate the room with peace. I talked to Frank about our first kiss, the babies' births, the day we married and, I even laughed a couple of times. I fell asleep at one point, peace was all around. I. woke up and I told him that when Jesus comes, to go to him. I felt it important that he not hear me crying, that he hear me tell him to go and I assured him I would be fine. Morning came. I refused to move. My Jenna came in the room. We spent the last two hours there like that me in bed with him and Jenna on my bed holding his hand. She played out song for him, for us, on my phone "Unforgettable". He passed away at 9:37 am in my arms. They had to pull me out of his bed 30 mins later. Now, on the 17th of each month, I go about life as normal, difficult to do otherwise with so many children. I stop at some point and thank my Lord for Franks life, and his peaceful painless death that in this world was unusual for a brain tumor patient. His pain we were able to control and his passing was exactly as I promised it would be, in my arms. I remember his tremendous courage and his strength and I praise my Lord for that mans presence in my life as I will never ever be the same.
"Unforgettable, that's what you are...unforgettable though near or far..."
Love
