I read this book a few months back and I loved it---I found it extremely comforting--one of the best books I have read. So glad it brouight you comfort also.

I read it too. A great book. When I'm in Heaven I don't plan to come back here to offer comfort. I'm not being cruel, but it is God who offers comfort to those left behind. He dries the tears of those in Heaven. I plan to stay there and have a great time.

I read this book and I borrowed it from a friend. I accidently washed the book...it was sitting on the dryer in my bathroom. I felt so stupid telling my friend that I washed and ruined her book. She like a good friend forgave me. It was a good book too....

Jeeeeez, these kids today are such overachievers (except for mine). I've been trying to get to heaven for four months now and this kid finds his way AND back? I can't even get past my mailbox.

I had to stop trading stocks because that idiot e-trade baby took all my money. Kids, ugh, just another subspecies of humanity i don't like anymore.

Sal, You are such a comedien---I love your sense of humor-but this book truly is an inspiration-- try reading the book--it really is a wonderful story--it will give you something to think about.

I just ordered a copy of this book on Amazon.com. I've heard about it before, and actually saw the little boy on TV on one of the news shows sometime in the last week or so.

Kids are very receptive, I think, because of their innocence. God would most probably reveal Himself to a small child rather than to us
set-in-our-ways adults. If I can remember, this child was about 4 years old when he experienced Heaven. I have known people who have had children in their family see a deceased loved one and they all were very young. None of the adults did...just the kids.

I've always heard it said that kids can see angels and I think I believe it--how often have our babies lay in our arms and looked right past us laughing and smiling at something no one but them saw. They have no pre-conceived notions--no doubting--nothing to keep them from just seeing what is there. I choose to believe that there is a lot that we as adults cannot see simply because we let our intellect and our ideas of what should and should not be get in the way. That's the way I choose to see it anyway. :)

I read this book right after my husband died. It did comfort me a great deal. It got me through those horrible first weeks. I was grocery shopping, and it literally jumped out at me!

I haven't read the book, but have heard the little guy, and he is amazing. From a childs perspective, it is something to hope for!!!

Glad it gave you comfort! I believe they do go on. and I believe that they are always around us. We may not 'see' them, but I do believe!!!

Sal, from what I understand (and heard on the newscast), the boy told things he saw that he could have had no knowledge of. There were many witnesses, not just his parents. He saw his sister, who had died in a miscarriage. He had never been told about a sister that died. There are many confirming witnesses that this is not just made up. Hope this helps.

I lost my nephew to cancer on 2 January 2012 and a friend gave me this book to read. I couldn't put it down and highly recommend it to everyone.

I came on here and searched it and it lead me to this post.

I too read this amazing book......couldn't put it down. I then gave to one of my daughters to read and told her to pass on to my other girls when finished.

It was very thought provoking and touching ...everyone take away what you will ..but you will definitely take something wonderful away. :)
