It's been two months and I've been wanting to see or hear him so badly. I recently read the post about seeing a spouse in your dreams as well as the one about going back to the bedroom/bed to sleep. A little over a month after Galen's death I realized that I was very comforted by laying on his pillow but only just for a moment and not actually sleeping in the bed. I decided that since I was comforted by this I would try sleeping in our bed again and was able to do that. I was quite surprised I could do it so soon but I felt close to him and it felt comforting.

My daughter has just come down with the flu and after the first night in her bed and waking up at 4:00 in the morning I decided the next night she could sleep in the bed with me since we bought an adjustable bed and I could raise the head for her. There was no way I was letting her sleep on my husbands side of the bed so if this was going to happen I had to sleep there. I really felt that I would be comfortable with it and would feel close to him. That was the first time I had seen him since his death and it was such an amazing feeling. My dreams are not very vivid so I didn't remember much of it the next morning. I did the same thing again last night and again I had a dream about him and my two stepchildren. This one was more vivid. This may have been the best Christmas present I could have been given. I know he's watching over and protecting us. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas. It's been a very difficult day and I know tomorrow will be even more difficult but we will all get through it. Hugs to everyone.
