So today I was very upset as my son was packing. To my surprise my friend called me to ask if she could visit. I told her yes. She was very carrying - letting me know that it was okay to be sad. She confirmed to me that this was the best. I needed to get on with life and this was the next stage ( my son's townhouse is about 3 blocks from were I live). She stayed with me until the packing was done.
Then around 7:00 pm another friend called me. She said that she felt that I needed to talk. I told her what was happening. She told me that I was a strong person and I would be okay. She suggested a dog for company. These are just two of the wonderful people I have in my life or who I can count on.
I am glad that both my husband and I made sure we friends had that were our friends, he had his friends and I had my friends.
My MIL gets annoyed when she finds out I have cleared the snow as she feels that the neighbours should do it out of the kindness of their heart. At 86 she does not understand that it`s o.k. for me to do it myself. On the other hand , should I need something, I can call on my brothers and some friends to help. I just don`t like to impose on others.
