Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
When we introject another person...love them...and then lose them...we sometimes try to hold off the grief because we think we will break in two if we ever start the process of release of our losses.
Throughout the whole of your relationship, you were a complete and functional person. You still are and I don't think your loved one...were the roles reversed...would want to see you excessively grieving...and vice versa.
If it were you, wouldn't you want to release your mate from the fear of separation?
Just a few thoughts. I hope you regain your strength soon. I appreciate your honesty and I know these things are very hard.
Fate, not God, sent us the anguish. WHen we try to deal with it, we find out we are not strong. We get weak, we get tired, we get angry, overwhelmed. We began to wonder how will we make it through all the years But when we reach the limits of our strength and courage, something unexpected happens. We find reenforcement coming from outside of ourselves. And in the knowledge that we are not alone, that God is on our side, we manage to go on. Harold S Kusher
