I bought a phone message book from an office supply store (the kind that secretaries use with four message notes per page) that has the self-carbon copy that remains in the binder. When I needed to make sure something was not forgotten or a phone message needed posted, I would write it in this book regardless of whether I thought I would remember it or not (usually didn't, though). The message sheet could be torn out to take with me, if needed, but the self-carbon copy remained in the binder. I always had the assurance that whatever note I had removedand usually couldn't find again (yes, I lost my notes on a regular basis at first) that it would be in the binder for me to review. We have the small business of the maple syrup camp, and people were calling for orders, etc., so it became a very important life-line to me and our daughters. At the beginning, none of us could remember anything, so we would have been in a real mess with the business had we not have had the "book" to check out.
Maybe this will be a help, or maybe it sounds a bit far-fetched to some. I still use it, though, and find some humor in reading previous notes. Some of those notes from a couple of years ago have proven to be very helpful when I needed to recall some facts or phone numbers.
Happy remembering!!! TJ
