Forget = warrant for my arrest

OH my gosh I forgot to call in last Sunday for jury duty with my SIL's stepmom dying etc. etc. and they called me on my cell phone since than, which where I live I have no cell coverage....

SO when I went downtown today THursday I got my calls and the last call stated that they issued a warrant because I was not calling in for several days and I was chosen to appear on jury duty....AND I was a no show.

SO panic panic panic I finally got someone on the phone confessed to my forgetfulness - explained how so many things were going on...family funeral (did not say it was SIL stepmom)

but told them why did someone not call my home I have been around for days....SO I diverted a misdeameanor fine etc. and have to serve next week....

WHY do i put things like that on refrigerator that served me so well when my kids were in school and I do not look now????

In times like this we have so much to deal with. Not only the death of your husband, but complicated with another loss the commissionary was right to excuse you. I'm gad it ended fairly for you. Hugs to you,Sharon

Yikes! So glad everything worked out okay. Jury Services here are pretty understanding, too. I got a jury summons 2 days after Darrell was admitted to the ICU. Called the Services and was bawling my head off. The clerk was very understanding (although I think I scared her).

I'm sure we're all pleased that you won't be visiting us from jail. I try to keep a reputable computer... :)

Oh, and you might try finding another reminder-posting place besides the refrigerator...

I am glad someone in the govenment system of courts understood what the problem was. I was called for jury duty a couple of years ago right after I had my knee replaced and there was no way I could sit for that long. I wrote all my problems on the response and never heard from them.
Like Wanda aid, we certainly would break you out of jail!

If they had arrested you, you would have gotten a few minutes to rest in jail before Wanda came to break you out!
I know the feeling...walking around wondering what I have forgotten today.

OMG - Glad it all worked out.
People who have good cell service just don't understand that those of us who live in no man's land where cell service hot spots are a luxury. For that reason alone, I would have helped Wanda break you out. Good luck next week.

Well you can see we have a possee forming here to charge in and rescue anyone of us in trouble.
How about we call ourselves "The Helpful Hearts Rescue Team"?

Well after panicking I sorta laugh at this.

The court system said people forget all the time...it was standard procedure to tell them a warrant for a misdeamor would be on their record as it gets them jumping BUT again if I had not gotten down to where I picked up cell phone coverage gosh...

A friend told me after I said well maybe going to be booked would be a first - Thats not a thing to put on your bucket list...

Anyway now its funny but sure gets you thinking of being like Marjoe said weird in forgetting or spacing things...
