This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I'm new to this. I lost my husband of 18 years in 1/24/17. He was in icu for 3 weeks before he passed. We dated for 12 years before marrying so I've known him for 30 years; he was my best friend and now he's gone. I'm devastated and my heart aches for our kids because they still need their dad. But the kids have been amazingly accepting and they give me strength everyday. We are lucky to have great friends and family for support. I also find much comfort thinking about all the wonderful things we've done as a family.
