Today I was assisting my cousin in taking care of this pigeon we found hurt in a wing, when I suddenly started listening to the familiar tunes of "our last music". "Our last music" is how I call this music my partner showed me probably a month ago, in his Iphone, here at our cottage in the country. I had never heard it before he showed it to me, its a new modern tune by a soul singer from England, John Newman, we both loved it, and he was so proud to have been the one showing it to me. He said I was generally the one always introducing him to his favorite things, so this was an exception and he was so happy about it. It was the music we heard the most the last days we were together, including on the beach, we played it again and again. The lyrics resonate with me a lot now, the song is called "Love me again". It was the first song I heard after he passed, right outside his place, it was coming from a cafe that almost exclusively plays eighties music. And I have been listening to it several times since, like today. I understand its a catchy good song, that is likely played on radios continuously, that I am very susceptible right now, and so and so, but there is a part of me -a big part - that feels this can be a meaningful sign of him... Our bond with non-human animals is strong, so that it started playing - it was coming from a nearby tractor - when I was helping the injured pigeon was significant to me, like he was saying "Im glad you are pulling yourself together to do that, thats my little one!". Now I even think maybe I am confused in my thoughts, not just in my emotions, and maybe it was not the first song I heard after he passed, maybe it is just the first song I noticed... But I commented it to some friends, thinking what an interesting coincidence it was. And again today... I want to know if anybody has had these kind of things happening, these "coincidences", or if I am going a little crazy here or what...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I am a believer in "signs", if they bring comfort there can be nothing wrong with that. Many people ignore signs as coincidence, but I think we know when that happens.
Take comfort in them ...
Mainly b/c you are not going crazy - they happen!
I heard "Silent Lucidity" by Queensryche in the limo on the way to & from the cementery ...
I heard it so often I yelled at Bob to pick another song ...
Then it was "I'm still Alive" by Pearl Jam ...
Every song he sent let me know he was alive in spirit ...
I knew it, but you know how it goes when grieving ,..
I had to be reminded/It proven over & over again before my brain would accept it! *wink*
