Hi everyone thanks in advance for all your support and help. I really appreciate it. My husband died 6/8/08. Two days after our 15th anniversary.I am still hurting so badly. I miss him so much and I hate this new life. I need to cut back my hours at work to part time from full time. I have an 11yr old son who needs attention. The truth is I just can't keep working all these hours. Im afraid because I will lose my health insurance and I have alot of medical issues. Before I always had my husband to lean on and know that I wasn't alone.Now i'm totally alone and responsible for my son and I. I'm not eligible for state assistance because I get to much ss. Is anyone aware of any services in NJ to help women who have lost their husbands? Thanks for listening. I just feel like i'm in a million different pieces.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You are feeling a million emotions right now. It is hard to sort through them all. Maybe you could call your local church or go online to the State's website and see if there is any assistance available. Also, maybe you can collect something from the federal government on his social security or something like that. Good luck and take care!

Do you get the ss or does your son.If it is your son it doesn't have bearing on your income. That is money for him.You will make it you sound strong and your son will help you be strong

I feel you Blue water. I am going thru similar issues. My husband had life insurance so people think I'm set...uh excuse me, raising two girls isn't cheap. And yes the ss does affect the mom cause it goes in my account and is considered income. I am looking for help myself. It is just so hard right now. I can hardly believe he's gone and I gotta think about money...i am a part timer-kids in school-one h.s and one grammer school. Good luck.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
