Today I feel grateful. Grateful for my dog Blue (Blue Jean Baby Queen, Prettiest girl I've ever seen). Grateful I'm still kickin'. Grateful I'm finally taking responsibility for my health. Grateful I own my home. Grateful for good friends and neighbors who watch over me. Grateful to God for His everlasting love and patience with me. Grateful I survived the 10 years since my wife of 30 years...

Welcome to the group which no one wants to join. There are many compassionate people here who are on the same journey, suffering a similar pain. You can read some of the other posts to learn about their stories. If you feel the need to vent feel free as well.
I hope you are getting some counseling through hospice or elsewhere. It does help to be able to talk about your loss, not just here online but also in the real world. I had counseling through my work's Employee Assistance Program, and that helped me a lot.
I am sorry anyone ever needs to be here, but want to welcome you to the group.
Love and Hugs,
Martha, co-Community Leader
times of happiness and laughter...if these feelings arise, for whatever reason, accept them without guilt...they are meant to keep us going...Time as everyone told me in those early days really is the best healer...you will get through...and the world will be a happy place for you again...DS and the people who had experienced loss before me were absolutely wonderful to me...including
Martha above...they were an absolute lifeline to the future for me...and I wish the same for you...
Wishing you peace and serenity for your aching heart...
Hugs....Diana....
