I know you have to be so overwhelmed with everything you have to deal with and keeping your little guy happy. I am in awe of those that are so young to have young children along with this trying to get through this .

What a WONDERFUL mom who does that, in her own pain, to put it away for just a little while to bring joy to her litte man. How PROUD you Brian must be watching over you, and knowing he married that lady! that lady is going to raise his son to be a very FINE MAN.

Everyday can be up or down. You can go days or weeks without a bad moment. Then bam!! It's like rolling down hill without the brakes. There is a song that says: What if blessings come in teardrops.

I feel we have a backwards day to remind us of the blessings we have so that we don't take those that are special for granted. Hugs and kleenex to you.

Overwhelming, roller coaster, ups and downs, they all try to explain what we feel. I've had 2 very good days but I expect to have 2 very bad days. It's just how it goes. Everyone says it gets better so I'm counting on that. Your are lucky that you have your son. Kids are so great.

Just wanted you to know that I feel your pain. As others have already said, we do have many ups and downs before it starts to level off.
Family and friends are great but it is definitely not the same so at times it is very overwhelming.
I am at 9 months and have noticed that the last few months are much better than the first 6 months, but everyone is different.

I find it is overwhelming some days, when it's dark and gloomy and you have your son to care for. As long as I can still get up on a bad day, then I just go with the flow, and my five year old is used to my tears, and just let's me get on with it. Like crb71 said we are lucky to have our kids, but it is doubly hard dealing with your own pain, and that of your grieving child. Your little one will help to keep the sunshine in your world, and you should be proud of yourself for facing the hardest journey in this life. Hugs to you Nicola

So typical we work at getting done what needs to be done, even working harder at it than normal I THINK, than work at doing more...
Loneliness is just a tough feeling....wish I had some great advice for you....

I think our bodies, and hearts do so to keep our souls from deeper grief...but than quiet comes at moments that feeling of not doing so well creeps in....Unfortunately its true what they say two steps forward than back that forward - BUT each step forward makes the next easier .....so I hope you find a little ray of sunshine for you....Wishing you comfort and peace...

I share your thoughts about the little guy. I have a 5 year old grandson that spends most weekends with me and if not for his smiles and hugs I don't know what I would do. He is so much like his grandmother that I feel close to her when he is around. I am sure you will fill your little ones life with sunshine and Brian I am sure is very proud of you and your little one.
