Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

Your pain is tortuous. So is mine. and I'm pretty sure that everyone's here is, or was.
My husband was a very resilient man who was the rock in our family. I always said that if I went first, he would remarry pretty soon. and would be ok, although grieved.
Me? Not so. Today is not the day to list every weakness and instability of mine.
The only thing equal to my grief, is my inherent failure.
Nevertheless, over two years is behind me and the date of my husbands' death. THAT is tough.
because, the reality is that I have already travelled 2 years into what was, at the time of his death "my future". It is mostly a blur.
Many members here have accomplished a great deal, which I have not.
You need to vent all emotion, or it will drown you.
HUG.

I choose to believe that God does love me, so he must not have been able to stop the arteries from filling with plaque and causing a massive heart attack. I do know for sure that God blessed me with the most skillful medical staff and an abundance of love and support from family, friends and most surprisingly, my husbands coworkers. He would have been so touched by all the folks that have stepped up to help me and my boys.. I pray that you have some of that support as well. I wish you love and peace in this confusing, gut wrenching time of grief!

Please be kind to yourself. I know it isn't easy, but you will survive.
