Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
My only advice to anyone in this situation is to distance yourself from them. We certainly don't need toxic, negative or mean people in our lives.
"Everybody brings joy to us ... some when they come and some when they go"
"I think I can't shake it this time because my husband isn't here this time to let me know it's ok, I'm more than person she believes me to be. I have friends who love me and other family members who understand what she can be like"
Yes...he just did...you know what he would have said..he's just saying it differently now..believe that..
That being said, I agree with everyone who is telling you to limit your time with her...negativity is something that you just don't need on top of everything else. Try your best to brush it off...I know it's hard...but there are more important things in your life than her opinion, especially if it's toxic. Take care, and try to push it from your mind.

It is absolutely tiring to deal with mean and evil people....Words will only tire you out......If you MUST help your Mom.....Do what you can and when your sister comes near you WALK AWAY.....Don't say a word....Just walk away.
Your meaningful silence will say and mean more than any words that she will only deflect. Anyone who witnesses it will see that YOU are the bigger and more intelligent person and will no longer allow ANYONE to suck the joy out of your soul!
It took me a long time to understand and "get" this with my own toxic group but man does it send a great message......the silence is deafening!
Now, go, be happy and keep that joy inside!
