Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Your overwhelming sadness is part of the grieving process and it wants to be heard. It's like a very needy child that keeps pulling and tugging on your skirt to be picked up, held, loved, soothed and most importantly, acknowledged.
We have all been there at one time or another during our grieving process, and don't kid yourself, the more you shove those feelings inside, the more they will poke and prod at you!
It's really best if you stop whatever you're doing, and address whatever is occurring at the time. If you need to cry, DO IT! Let it rip [as the kids say!]
Sometimes those tears that well-up inside us and come bursting out all at once are the most cleansing. They allow the sun to shine and a rainbow to appear.
Remember: After every rain there will be a rainbow! You just have to look for it!
We're all here with you and we've all suffered the loss of our love. You are so not alone!

"Death changes everything.
Time changes nothing.
I still miss the sound of your voice
The wisdom of your advice
The stores of your life
And just being in your presence
So, No time changes nothing
I miss you as much today as the day you died
I just Miss You."
The more you try to contain or suppress your grief, the more likely it is to overwhelm you by surprise.
I just past 7 months and it seems like reality is still sinking in .
My husband's absence is only becoming more real as the months go by.
I am so sorry for your loss.
