Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Thanksgiving last year, I had the family here and watched a movie with them. It was the first without Greg. It was a hard day, and I was getting through it all for him, and for the kids and grandkids. Made all the food like normal, and cried all the way through it that morning. Put on a happy face and takked to the kids about life, etc. Sat down in Greg's chair for the first time ever, and as it was a comedy movie, a funny part came on and I alughed LOUD AND LONG. at that moment, the lamp over my head dimmed and brightened, and then did it again as if I didn't see it the first time. My son was sitting next to me, and said to me'did you see that?" YEP I DID. It had never done that befiore, and has never done it again.
YEP my friend I BELIEVE he was saying he's there, hes' with you, and will be seeing that basket for Matthew and will be enjoying every bit of it as he did when he was here.
It's not a hand, but its there all the same.
