It was almost 6 months since my wife pasd , been through stages , you know : disbelief , hurting,  miss her so much  , who am I ?? , where to and for what  ?? Walking into a future  ?? . when she died my life died  . Little by little  , day by day starting to get easier  , never gonna wake up and,  all of a sudden it's all good , but coping , starting to find positive . She had heart failure but there was hope with a pending operation to place a device in her heart , until I came home from work on 6th November and found her  !!!  , almost 6 months later our eldest son in hospital with fluid buildup from his heart failure , went to visit him the 1st day and he was quite happy they were going to get the fluid under control and he would be out in a couple of days  . 2 days later doctor said his kidneys had failed , all they could do was keep him comfortable  , it was his funeral on Wednesday  !!

I can not imagine your pain and grief. I have never lost a child. Two husband's . The pain and suffering and the lostlessness is still here after 14 months since my second husband passed. Guess the only way I can decribe this is a metamorphosis. .I just hope I come out as a higher kinder person. Wish I knew who I am now but in time I will. God Bless you and know you are in my prayers (Hugs )

I am so very sorry for your tremendous losses. I lost my husband almost 20 months ago. Four months later his sister suddenly passed away Two months later another relative. I have not lost a child. I cannot in any way comprehend that loss. I do know that each loss set me back to the beginning of my grief and intensified the pain . Please share your feelings and thoughts here so you get the compassion and support you will undoubtedly need. You will need much of that now. I pray that God blesses you with peace.

I lost my husband 4-13-17. I'm lost. No one wants to hear how lonely you are. People go on with their lives and you're just left behind

Hi cattyann , I know what you mean and I felt the same way just after my wife passed . I think this is just part of the process but when you read people's stories you realize we're all in this thing together . I have found its day by day and I do understand what your going through

Hi Drroc. I am so sorry for your losses. My wife passed 3/11/2017 and I am feeling such a loss and trying to understand my own identity too, I too ask "who am I" all the time. I can't remember who I was without her in my life.

I am so sorry. I know the pain you are in.I have not lost a child I did lose my husband.For the first few months I saw everybody moving on but I was standing still. I didn't even know who I was anymore. My son got married 8 months after well that was not good for me I felt like I lost him to. Who cared about me. I thought if I had to live alone I didnt want to be here. Part of me died with him everybody would say give it time I didn't want to hear that I just wanted to be happy again. It has been a year and a half now I think I know who I am again and I think I'm ready to be happy again but not sure how to do that.I found out when someone says time it is so true time is all we have.
