Tomorrow will be one year since my sweet husband George passed away. I dread tomorrow but really feeling low today just thinking of it. Miss him so. Can't believe our time together is really over even though it has been one year. Know I have to accept it but how and when? Thanks for listening DS friends. Terry

For me,it's not just the anniversaries I dread-i find myself dreading everyday.But today is the anniversary of when i brought my husband home from the hospital terminal,there was nothing more they could do and suggested hospice care.I'll never forget his 1st night home as terminal.He was so loopy and it became clear normalcy was gone from our lives.Everything changed that day.My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, kind words and support for me on this year milestone. I really appreciate it. I spent the day with my daughter today. We went to lunch and shopping. It helped us both to be together today. Many hugs, Terry

Hi Nancy. You have been on my mind today as well. Thanks for your post. Glad you spent it talking about your husband with friends. Family and friends called today as well. It means so much to know others care and encourage as the Lord wants us to do as well. Holding hands tonight until midnight sounds good to me. Take care friend. Hugs Terry

Know it is a hard thing to go through.................will be thinking and praying for you...........I have found that sometimes the anticipation is worse than the actual date................but the first one is really rough..................hugs

I just marked my 14th Wedding anniversary on July 10th. That was 60 days since my wife, Brittany passed away. I think the days leading up were harder than the actual day. I spent that with my daughter and took her to the restaurant that Brittany and I would've gone to. Honor the memories and hold them close.

It is almost 2 years that I have been missing my sweet George but I remember that terrible first anniverary. I don't know if I will be much better come Sepember when it happens again. I hope you came through it alright yesterday. Hugs, Jo

You are in my prayers. On the anniversary of my husband's passing, I had a going-home celebration. It was just me, but I thanked God for providing a home for him. Then I went out and had a manicure and a facial. I wanted it to be a happy day. And I wanted to erase the bad memories of saying goodbye.
