Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I love and miss him madly, Rhonda
"never-ending" candles for me. We all went to visit my beloved Ed's place...it was hot as blazes. It was so peaceful and lovely in the country there.
Now I'm exhausted. I will be thinking of you, "mmg", tomorrow as we both mark our 1-year as widows. You will be fine, you are never alone, we have such understanding, kind, loving friends here at DS. So keep the faith...I'm holding hands with you, we're together...
Love and hugs,
Nancy

you know I heard somehwere that the one thing a widow can own at one year if nothing else is that she has SURVIVED. and you my dear have SURVIVED.
whatever you do tomorrow whether it';s a big celebration or a quiet remembrance of the man who lit up your life, please if you can take a moment to remember that you lit up his....he will
HUGS and much love as well as strength for this big milestone none of us wanted, but all will survive. Love Diane
Peace and Hugs,
Barbara
I pray you have a peaceful day.
Hugs,
Ron
I am thinking of you both today and know how difficult it will be to spend this day reminiscing over the good and the bad. I pray you will be uplifted up by your friends here and your family and friends. We all remember our first anniversary of the death. My anticipation was much more painful than the actual day. I pray the same for this day for you!
Kathleen
And here I am thinking of my 2nd year anniversary of his death...for some reason one the first I had decided to make it a honoring him not a memorial - it worked...this year I am in charge of a going away picnic for an older couple in my area (did not realize the date when I signed on). BUT maybe its for the best it will be at the park where we held his memorial service with over 300 people there...
SO let me finish my thoughts here....that one yr mark seems to go by fast yet slow and when its here its sad because you have survived but not where you wish to be. SO I hope maybe you are stronger now and maybe you can make this a time to honor his life to help you ....
HUGS....
Pam
I wish all widowed folks could be as fortunate as we are, to have a computer and to have found our wonderful DS W/W group.
We are never alone, Terry. I've had a lot of calls today and that's the way my beloved would want me to be, talking and smiling about our life together.
Count your blessings, try to think positive thoughts. Again, you and I will keep holding hands until midnight when the Good Lord brings a new tomorrow...and we start anew.
Hugs from Nancy
