Today my stepdaughter, son-in-law and two grandkids came over to meet my new dog. I have a Shiba Inu, which can be quite a challenge so I had my dog trainer to come over as well. It worked out fine. He was able to teach my 6 year old grandson how to interact with the dog and he really enjoyed it. My grand-daughter is too young so she just sat and watched.

Later we went out for a walk to teach the dog how to heel. Before leaving, I had my dog to eliminate in my back yard.

So we're walking alone, the dog on the sidewalk only, avoiding the neighbors yard because the lesson is on healing, when the neighbor opens her door, stares at us in disgust and orders us off her lawn. "Stay off my lawn," she barked. This even though none of us were on her lawn and she hardly owns the street anyhow.

Anyhow, I shouted back. No one is on your yard, so get back in your house. I was not very nice about it. And she did go back inside.

It makes me angry. I lived next to this woman for 8 years with a dog. Never did my dog walk on her lawn. I've spent money training this one in the same way. I'm a very responsible dog owner and believe in cleaning up after my dog if she messes in any way.

Let me also add that the woman has berries in her unfenced back yard that has brought all sorts of wildlife who I'm sure messes in her yard. I saw a family of three racoons just the other day. And the skunks practically spend every night on our block.

I'm still angry and I'm sure it's because I've been so stressed lately. I just can't stand a rude person.

Normally, I don't even walk near her house, and this in spite of the fact that her house borders ours. I've just never had an interest in walking that way. Of course because of her attitude, I made it my business to walk that way.
