Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
It usually doesn't take much to bring a tear.
Blessings, Debbie
Wishing you peace,
Chris
I hope you find some peace and happiness in the good memories you had with your husband and let the memories of grief fade away.
Hugs,
Ron
Well that wasn't very supportive, was it? Ha! I just mean I've come to the conclusion that the tears are suppose to be there, and to feel bad about the crying really is counterproductive. You feel sad and your body needs the release. If others can't grasp that, well then, that's their problem.
Again Thank you
As some others said, its okay if you don't cry or if you do. Everyone is different, and everyday is different. Hope you have some better days coming. Hugs, Joely
My husband rarely cried after losing his best friend, his brother in law, his father, his mother...even though I have never met a person who loved more deeply in my life. He literally lived his life to serve mankind and bent over backwards to do everything that he could for everyone. I think that he would have cried a LOT if he had lost me, but even then, not as much as I have cried. He told me that he would not have been able to handle it if it was the other way around and he lost me.
Watching him deal with grief, I learned that no two people grieve the same, and that tears are not the only indication of how much a person loved.
The most important thing is that we all honor all of our feelings and emotions and do not feel guilt over what we do or do not do as we keep putting one foot in front of the other.
There is no "easy" way to live through this and we all have to find our way to live through our loss..
hugs..
