Boy was this widow gullible. I am sorry no one gets what little money I have from me. That is just why I dislike on line dating. You really don't know who you are dealing with. I want to date but not that way.

I am sure that online dating can be fun but there are just two many con artists out there. I know of two couples who met on E-Harmony. While they are still together, both couples rushed in much too quickly and there is trouble in paradise. Wow! I can't believe anyone would part with that much money without meeting the guy. It's a perilous world out there when it comes to online dating. I feel sorry for this widow, no one deserves to be conned out their life savings. The worst part of it is that this guy has

Unfortunately this is the society we live in today. I like Suzie58, have no interest in dating again. I can support myself, I have friends and family, and really no one is going to be able to fill my husband's shoes. I don't need anyone to tell me how pretty I am, or how much they need me. At this point in my life it is all too exhausting, plus I have my own personal assets to protect.

I am sure that God will fulfill my life with a purpose and I can and will always remain my husband's wife and/or widow.

They will never catch this person, man or woman. Best advice stay away from these sites. Meet the old fashioned way in person if you want to date again. Myself, no way. Donna was my one and only.

It's so sad that online dating has been taken over by con people. I used online dating sites, going back to the early 80s when they used to call it computer dating. I was always busy and just didn't have time to meet the old-fashioned way. Funny, I did meet both my husbands the old-fashioned way, but I did meet very nice gentlemen online. Of course that was years ago--about ten, just before remarrying my late husband. Back then there were no stories like this. Now, the con-men from out of town have taken over.

I still believe in online dating. If I wanted to date, I'd go this way. Why? I feel it's safer. I'll post the rest of this to my journal.

I agree with you. I think it's much safer too. In fact, it IS how i met my late husband, and it was the BEST decision I ever made.

I do think there should be more awareness though about the cons and scammers, because there are many of them. the thing I DID like about it was that if you didn't feel comfortable, you had total protection as to where you live, and even who you are if that suits you. then of course you have to be sure of who exactly you are talking to!

Thanks for posting this for all of us. No matter how you go about it if you are ready to date, it is at times a scary world out there, and you can never be too careful!

The internet has opened up a new vast inventory of people that are open to being scammed. There probably are some nice honest men out there but the majority are probably looking for a "nurse or a purse or a new retirement plan". Probably better to meet the old fashioned way whenever possible.

First of all if I had that kind of money...Lady are you crazy? Why would you send someone that amount of money and you never met them in person, even if I met him in person...sorry Charlie find another because I am not the one...Not that needy..
