I lost my wife about 6 or seven weeks ago... I seem to have lost all track of time.

I thought by now I would have recovered a little bit, but now it seems that with each passing day I miss her more.

I sat up in bed Sunday morning looking out the window at all the beauty outside and I balled my heart out for nearly 4 hours and almost non stop. I woke up 2 hours later having the strenght to cry some more. Today at work I had to take 30 minutes to cry. I felt so exhausted afterwords. They say it gets better, How do they know? not one person I know has lost his wife...or husband for that matter.

It does take a while to maneuver through our new life. As we stumble, fall, pick ourselves back up we find we are just exhausted from our grief and the loss of our loved ones.
God Blesses us each and every minute of our day.

I find I have no energy or interest in doing much of anything. Need to find a friend to interact with.

I am sorry to hear about your wife. I too lost my husband on April 27th. He was killed in a Head on collision. I understand the hurt that you are experiencing. I feel the same way. Prayers for you.

crying is good, there will be a point when you stop. but until then cry when you need to. its a way to release the sadness we feel. its a natural part of the healing process, i cried my eyes out to, as much as i could and as often as i could, needed to get the hurt out, had a lot myself, even had guilt, never got to say good bye, she was gone before i could do that. told her she wouldnt die alone that i would be there but that didnt happen, God i felt so sad, im even cyring now, certain thoughts can still bring it back. seems loosing a mate can be the hardest thing you can possibly experience. but healing comes if you let it happen dont fight itexcept it. its just your love one telling you to move on.

I feel your pain, my friend. I lost my husband of 34 years on May 10, 2018. I thought I was getting so much better but this past week has been horrible. The tears wouldn't stop for a long time but yesterday and today I am better. You have to let the tears come when they want to and this helps move through the pain. You are still so early in your grief as am I. We will get through this! Keeping you in my prayers and thoughts. Hugs! Paula

I lost my husband 2 years ago and for the first year I lost interest in everything. I cried daily and nights were worse. I went to couciling and even that didn’t help. I finally stopped trying to “get over it “ and just let each day be whatever I felt. I started a journal, writing out my thoughts and feelings. Gradually the crying bouts became less frequent and so did the nighttime anxiety attacks. Now two year in, I still have bad days but the good ones are more frequent. Just grieve when you need to. Each of us has our own unique grief. Hope this is of some help. You are not alone

You're not alone in this journey. I don't know where this excruciating pain leads me. I lost my beloved husband barely 7 months ago. The pain scale is the same!
I am living my life one day at a time and embracing the thought that at times... "it's OK not to be OK"!
