I read many posts most every day - addictive yes but comforting more.

One thing I feel is there is alot of courage here.

So I thought I would share this

Courage doesn't always roar
Sometimes courage is a quiet voice
at the end of the day saying
"I will try again tomorrow"

What makes the dawn come up like thunder?

You are so right with that quote.
Courage, what we widow/widowers all have to have to get out of bed and face each day. That is courage, don't second guess yourselves. Here we are up and on the computer.

I agree ..it does take courage just to get out of bed an face another day without the one you lost. Just a day at a time but sometime is just get through the next minute ....it is so hard.

Yep, this says it all. I ESPECIALLY like the Wizard of Oz!!! Remember that from so many years ago!! Wasn't that when they faced they flying monkeys?!? ;-)

Well, I could have gotten all philosophical and made reference to our journey being analogous to traveling the yellow brick road hoping to find what we already possess or, like Dorothy looking for "home" when we're already there. But, I was in a glib mood and didn't so I won't.

I too am here most days reading the many posts and journals. You are so right Nicker...it takes such courage to get through every day. The encouragement from you and many on this site helps us put one foot in front of another, hugs Lu Ann

When life has knocked you down and kicked you around and you refuse to lay there and take it. When you take every ounce of strength that you know you do not have and you force yourself to get up and brush yourself off over and over again...when you then force yourself to put one foot in front of the other...even though your heart and your spirit is broken...now that is courage. Yes I see so much courage here in each and every person. Courage that we did not know that we had. Courage we would rather not have to find within us. But yes, courage just the same. The truth of the matter is that once we know it is there.....we know it is there. Here's to each and every person here on DS.
