As far as the gifts signed from you both, my inclination would be to leave them that way so that they know their grandpa loved them to the end. However, that being said, I would talk to their parents and get their feedback. You should be talking with them anyway - now is the time to lean on each other.
The "firsts" are always hard, the "seconds" (and so forth) get easier. You'll be covering some new ground, and may have to reinvent some of the family traditions. Different people handle it different ways. It's a good idea to talk with the adult kids so you all have a time of comfort together on the holidays. Whenever people I know talk about how stressful Christmas can be, I just think, "Man, you don't know the half of it!"
You can get through this. Don't give up.
Love and Big Hugs,
Martha
My first Christmas I did label some as being from both of us ..
It took enormous effort to attend first years holidays and young birthdays etc.
Nothing is easy. My best to you.
