Today I'm going to focus on replacing a chandelier. Although Glenda was only in our new house (to us) for approximately a month, she made clear her distaste for the chandelier. We brought the crystal one from the old house which was not expensive in the 70's but has real crystals, rather than the acrylic ones these days. As well it has a lot of sentimental value as she loved the way it matched the old real wood table and 4 chairs she also bought in the 70's for $40.00.

Today I feel grateful. Grateful for my dog Blue (Blue Jean Baby Queen, Prettiest girl I've ever seen). Grateful I'm still kickin'. Grateful I'm finally taking responsibility for my health. Grateful I own my home. Grateful for good friends and neighbors who watch over me. Grateful to God for His everlasting love and patience with me. Grateful I survived the 10 years since my wife of 30 years...
You will find a good degree of comfort in doing things that would make your wife happy were she still here. I know it does me. It is these little things that will help you through your grief. I can see your chandelier now, and I love it, too. Roxanne
Joe and I traveled quite a bit, we also had an RV. One of the things about my husband that I wish to share is he loved hiding 100 dollar bills! He always told me that if anything happened to him when we were off somewhere, that the 100 dollar bills might come in handy! So when he died that was one thing that popped into my mind and I did have fun scavenger hunting for those 100 bills! I knew that Joe left them for me to find!
We made a once in a lifetime (two week long) trip via Canadian rail from Vancouver BC to Nova Scotia. AN ESCORTED TRIP. Some nights we were in our room on the train, other nights in luxury hotels. That trip was unbelievable and one that I will never forget in my lifetime. We flew home (PDX, Portland, Oregon) at the end of the trip. It was a Fall Foilage event.
