Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

You need more time. Lots of it. Allow yourself to grieve and cry.
I still cry. I lost my husband of 43 yrs, about 9 yrs. ago and my second husband I lost 2 yrs ago. I did not go through the entire process of grieving before I
remarried. I am not sorry I did remarry, but it is not a substitute for the grief process. It is just recently that I realized that I now have to change to adjust
myself to the radical and frequent changes in my life.
Be gentle and kind with yourself. Take care of you. Do what you need. If anyone is pushing you to move on this soon, then forgive them and know they simply do not understand. You will find your peace in time.
I still cry everyday and there are those who don't completely feel comfortable with my progress.
It is your process. If you need help (we all do) reach out to someone who
you can trust. Or maybe a support group. Best to you. It will be ok at
some point. I am not there yet, but can see how it could happen for me,
eventually.
Don't put any pressure or any timetable on yourself. You commented that "No one understands why I haven't moved forward." Actually, everyone on this site understands why you haven't moved forward.
