This is strange. It seems my life is centered in the present. What I mean is that lately I've had problems remembering what it felt like before my husband passed. Work, for example, I had to ask someone if October was a slow month for sales? Another example, is my dad worse than he was before my husband passed. I can't seem to remember for some reason. I guess my grief is playing tricks on me or something, even the bird seems different.
I hate this grief thing.

Things are different. I know that I look at things differently. I try to tell those that matter in my life how special they are and how much I love them. I have learned that we never know if there will be a tomorrow. I want to make the most of today. While things are different they are an opportunity to make them what we want.

I think it a protective mode our brain goes into when too much is going on or when we just need to mentally or emotionally take a break. Like diving deep underwater, where everything is slow motion, and we can function on limited brain power. Heartbrokin

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
