Being alone

Has been 8 months now and I am having a problem adjusting to being alone. I would like to make friends with some ppl so I could talk to them and have some companionship. Would like to hear from some one and how they are getting by. I really miss the company of my wife.

I share your loss and hope that there are senior centers that will support you while you are grieving. I am 75 and centers have helped me during these lonely times. Just being around others helps, even though eventually you have go home. It really helps just to have coffee with someone and talk.

The aloneness is truly the hardest after the initial dealings with loss of a loved one. Where I live in rural mt area of WA its truly hard. Most here are retired and came from Seattle to get away from hub bub of large city. And couples do not like that single person around. Our friends we rode horses and snowmobiles with no longer include me.
alone. I just wish there were better ways to find others alone from loss of their significant other. I attend community functions to get out - it helps and I have after time not felt so alone when others are coupled up. Good luck we certainly all need ideas
