Just received news a close friends husband had a horse riding accident. Seems as he was chasing cows, his horse fell in a badger hole, fell on him, crushing him. They flew him from here to Seattle yesterday afternoon, but he died on the operating table. He was crushed pretty bad.
I just talked to her for quite awhile, I tried not to cry, she said she was finally able to talk without breaking down, I realized she was in shock.
Those first hours, days of dealing with the shock I could tell.
I felt bad for crying off and on but she called and talked to me when I first lost Roger. SO sad and so shocking.....

What an awful happening. I know your friend is devastated. Yes, she is in shock right now but she is fortunate to have you as a friend. You will be such a help to her. And you can guide her at the appropriate time to this site. I will pray for her and for you as well. Life is so hard. My heart goes out to you and to her.

I'm so sorry to hear about this terrible accident. How heartbreaking for your friend as well as for you. I know you will be a great comfort to her as you know the emotional chaos that has just begun in her life. May you have the strength and wisdom to help her in her time of need. Blessings to you as you show true unconditional friendship. TJ

I am so sorry. I am sure you are living those first days over again in this situation. Your friend is fortunate to have someone close to her that can underdstand what she is facing. I hope you can be a comfort for each other.

So sorry for both of you.....another terrible reminder of just how fragile life is. It is a blessing you have each other for a friend and perhaps in the big picture, it's clearer why your friendship came to be. God Bless you both. I know your being there for her will renew the feelings you had those first few weeks, but hopefully you will both emerge stronger. Huggggggggggs 2 you both, Molly
