I know the feeling. My wife passed May 19 2015. I used to cook for her all the time it's kind of like I have to learn to cook for one again.

I am eating delicious leftovers that my sister gave me ...with all of you. So lonely!

Same here...going to have some microwave soup later.. I used to love to cook for her, now i cant stand to be in the kitchen any longer than it takes to heat up something..

And we widows miss the guys that used to cook for us! Whaah! Tuna salad for me tonight and that was a stretch! It was either that or another frozen Lean Cuisine micro'd. Sounds like we are all lonely on a Saturday eve. The weekends can totally stink! :(

I've been telling my son I'm not going to cook on Fridays or Saturdays, so we have to eat out. When I wife was still with us, she sort of insisted we eat out on Fridays and Saturdays. So we're keeping up the tradition.

Had my dinner Broccoli cauliflower with lots of cheese,,,,Dlish! Even if it is a bit on THE GASSY side (lol) Oops! Sorry guys, I couldn't resist that,,,Thinkingto have a cold shower, Comfy clothes on and settle down for the night!!! How boring is that.!!!

I loved to serve Bob a good meal! He never really cooked much, I always cooked for him. As we both worked full time jobs, we ate out a lot too. I loved to eat out together. I miss him so much!! Saturday's and Friday nights are especially hard. I just can't go and sit alone in a restaurant. It is too hard watching all the happy couples. Too lonely!!

I miss cooking for Ed. He loved when I made something new. We usually ate out on Saturday night. Yes, it's lonely tonight. Stormy, dark and lonely....sigh...

I put a beef roast in the crockpot yesterday with some potatoes. Then decided I was going to have pizza. So today I had pizza for lunch and bbq beef and some potatoes for dinner. I put the rest in containers and freeze it. Then I have someting to pop in the microwave. Weekends get easier after a while. The eating alone sucks! Matter of fact being alone sucks all of the time! He did the cooking in our house. I hate to cook. If it can go in the crockpot I'll fix it.

Yep! I am sitting here eating some leftovers. I have always been quite the cook. Fixed my first Thanksgiving dinner when I was 17 years old. My husband was a good eater and loved my cooking. Yesterday was the third time this year that I did not eat alone. I am headed for my third year anniversary and I can tell you it has been very lonely. Can't say I can tell much difference in weekends or week days. I am so sorry ptorres for the sudden and unexpected loss of your healthy wife. My husband also was healthy and died unexpectedly. microwave tv dinner

my husband and i used to cook together, i miss that. 'When he got out of work early or once the illness had forced him to stop working and when he was up to it, he would have dinner on the table when i got of work. I miss that comradarie. It is 4 months this weekend but seems forever ago.
