Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

I do however confide in people at grief share meeting and my therapist, and they have helped me trememdously, and the people on here have helped as well,
I think we all put on that happy face,
I sure cant quit my job, although ide like to , haha
but its been 13 months for me , and I know weve spoken before, but I think it is getting alittle better with time, as long as I don't think too long about what happened, then its bad , real bad ,
them times are getting less frequent for me,

I started off as lead actor, and moved into best supporting role. I actually mastered how to fake caring about all the diddly-shit that people complained about that was so completely and utterly unimportant but they were too stupid to realize it. "Bad day at the nail salon? Oh you poor thing!" "Your hubby wants to watch football instead of taking you shopping? Oh you poor thing!" .... etc.
I sometimes think that if I released all the emotions I have had to stuff away, they would rise like a mushroom cloud and create a whirlwind that would knock people back on their asses. And God forgive me, there are days where I would like to do that.....

When I hear people complaining about nothing ... "I broke a nail", "I missed the bus", "the waiter forgot my salad dressing" ... I want to scream "I'VE LOST THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, MY HEART IS BROKEN!"
It's so difficult to put on a happy face and pretend to care about petty stuff, when I really want to cry.
I guess we will all get through our days as best we can. Doing whatever it takes.
Thank you,
Paula
