Truthfully I shared alot of the same feeling about how I perceived myself in relationship to others when I was younger. My wife taught me to be at peace with myself regardless of what others thought. What a gift. I am truly sorry for your loss. Losing the person who makes us feel complete is a huge adjustment, Please be gentle on yourself and take it one day at a time. That is all any of us can do.
The despair I totally get. Seek out a grief support grief or counsellor if available. It made a huge difference in my journey. Gerald
