Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

As far as the spouse(s) issue goes, for me, that’s easy. After fifty plus years of marriage there is not, cannot, nor ever will be another. She is irreplaceable......... Of course, much of this this is just my opinion.
Upon death, one can reacquaint with their loved ones, while the new love/relation's loved ones might be thankful to you for opening up your heart to this new love/relationship and for taking care of his/her earthly challenges and needs. When the new love/relationship finally joined his/her (before you) loved ones, your loved ones might be thankful to him/her for opening up his/her hearts to you and for taking care of you and your earthly challenges.
And vice versa.
A survivor survived (with or without guilt) to help another survivor survive, so both can make this earthly journey a bit more bearable to finally reacquaint with their loved ones. So, can 4 such individual spirits be squared into one circle of love?
That leaves the person you stay committed to until it was involuntarily disrupted. So if that person was a already a widow/widower, he or she will reacquaint with his or her (before you) loved ones, and you will still able to reacquaint your (before him or her) loved ones.
That way, the number is always even. If the 4 or 6 or 8 person do not wish to square into a one big circle, smaller circles among them should not be unthinkable.
This is just a paper exercise to try a simple answer to the complex question of squaring circle. It does not take into consideration anything else, nor shame, nor love, correct timing, right person or the use of telescope.
Of course if zombies are involve, then the 1st thing to ask is ; is that still "life"? Answer to that might help with decision whether to pull the trigger.
