A friend, four yrs younger than me passed away from colon cancer.
His word he wrote I thought this is what most of our loved ones who left us think also.
Afterglow: I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterflow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways of happy times and laughing times and bright sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
After thought: So easy to say but hard to do when things come up like loneliness without someone there you thought you would have for life to hold your hands, hug you and sleep beside you.
Hard to do when things go wrong that you have to fix that they fixed to make your life a little easier. Hard to do when finances overwhelm you because with two you shared those burdens.
BUT I do know for sure this is what they would wish for us AN Afterflow of good memories.
That we have.

YES, that is esactly what they would want us to do when we remember them....glow from the HAPPINESS we were fortunate enough to have had!
