A visit from my husband

Two nights ago, I had a visit from my husband. Of course I was dreaming, but I had asked God to see my husband again many months ago. I knew if He agreed, my husband would appear in my dreams. Mom did.

In the dream, my husband had left a special present for me that he wanted me to open on my birthday. That's months away. Anyhow, I've never been patien when it came to that, so I searched and found it. At this point everything seemed like a dream. And then suddenly it changed. I was in a room and my husband was standing there. There was a white light all around him and he was smiling at me. He looked healthy, slimmer than I've ever known him to be. He told me he was so happy in Heaven and that he was learning so much. And then I woke up and quickly wrote down what I saw. And thanked God for the gift he gave me.

I only wish I could dream about my husband...it has been none months and nothing ...I go to bed thinking about him and praying he will come in my dreams but he never does...it's really odd because my Dad died in 1988 and my sister 5 years ago and I don't dream about them either...but my sweet Buddy I thought for sure he would be with me in my dreams....you are so lucky...

How very blessed you are to have a visit from your husband. I've been hoping to see my husband in my dreams but nothing yet. Soon after my grandmother passed, I had a dream visit from her .. it was wonderful and I keep hoping and praying for one from Rob. God Bless and thanks for sharing this with us.

I didn't dream about DH for a long time. Then I dreamed 2 dreams but they were just about the everyday around the house stuff and not long. I'm glad I had them but hoped for something special or with a message. But I'm thankful for what I did dream. On very rare occasions I dream about other relatives who are gone but then again just everyday type stuff.

i too am envious. i have heard so many of these and had for months held onto the hope of seeing him clearly in my dreams. i'll just have to hold onto the memories.

I only wish I could dream about my husband. He visited me early after his death in November, and it scared me. He woke me up 3 times in one night and I told him I had to go to work that day and to leave me alone, I'm sorry I did that . He never showed again. Now I wish he would. He's been gone since November, 2009 and I miss him dearly. He was my soul mate. We were only married a little over 5 months when he died. I wish I could have a dream as wonderful as yours.

On the 2nd anniversary of my Dons'death I had a wonderful but sad dream.I dreamed I saw him coming down from the sky grinning with outstretched arms. He looked really good and also happy. I was running to meet him when I woke up. needless to say I cried. I so wanted to get that hug and be with him. I did find comfort in the dream later in the day. I have dreamed of him several times over the 2 yrs and for that I am thankful. I pray almost every night that God will let me see him. I feel I have been blessed.

You're very fortunate to have had this dream. I had 2 dreams about my husband about a month after he died. In both, I dreamed he was alive and he told me that me thinking he was dead was just a bad dream. Then I woke up - I didn't want to go back to sleep and go thru that again.
One of my daughters had a dream that he came to see her and told her that heaven was real and that he was happy. He told her not to tell anyone but she told him she wanted me to know. He told her he would tell me when the time was right. I'm not sure when that will be.
Anyway, i'm happy for you that you had this dream. It's a blessing

A couple days after Jeff died, I saw him in a dream. I asked if a heart attack is what he died from and he said, "Yeah, actually I had had a couple minor heart attacks before that, but just didn't know what they were". He looked great and we had a conversation just like he was there in the room with me. It was a very comforting experience and quite a blessing. I had a similar experience about a month after my dad died of lung cancer. He came to me in a dream and said, "the next cigarette you smoke will give you lung cancer; if you never smoke again, you'll be fine"---completely ended my smoking--cold turkey--In fact, I've awoken in a cold sweat before because I dreamed I was smoking and remembered his warning---another blessing, for sure.

I love dreams about our loved ones. I love the fact that in all the answers or comments our loved ones look good. They look whole. I am a believer in dreams and that is their way to communicate to us. It is always sad to wake up from them. It leaves me crying. Thanks for sharing. Hugs~Shelley

So glad I saw this post because last night I had what I thought was a nightmare. It was my wedding day and it started after we were already married. Between the wedding and the reception I was looking all over for him. When I finally found him, we hugged and I kept saying "please don't leave me," but he just faded away. I thought it was brought on by some inconsiderate remarks by a former friend, but now I'm rethinking that. I'll see what happens tonight.

I'm not sure about this visiting stuff, but my wife was in my dreams last night. It seemed to go on for a while, but how it ended was near some small public lake, laying on the sand, both of us crying, and her apologizing for having to die, and me assuring her it wasn't her fault. We'd had this exchange a few times before she died, so I assume that's where it came from. It didn't make me feel any better. Worse, actually.

Oh, and I had a penny sort-of thing. I found a brass set screw, like something used to hold a glass lamp shade in place, in front of my night stand. I hadn't worked on any lights recently, at least not like that.
