This is my husband Richard. That day we were going to a wedding of my former boss. I had just bought him this new suit and I rememer how excited he was to wear it and to be there at the wedding of our dear friend.

Looking at all of the pictures has put a smile on my face. These were people we all loved. People who made our hearts sing, put smiles on our faces and will forever be with us. I love you Richard!

I forgot to say that this picture was taken as a gift for me.....little did I know how precious it would become. The next day a doctor told us that Jim had cancer and our world changed forever. This was taken on the last day of our perfect life.

I will have to join in the tribute when I finally get to go back home. (see my journal--in hospital with Joe's uncle). This laptop isn't even a year old and has no pictures of Joe on it. My desktop at home does though. Great to see everyone's loves. Good tribute. Hugs, Joely

I am behind Richard in my avatar picture. One of our playful events was having our photo taken with Santa every year. That vision was my husband every day. He was so full of life. God, how I miss him.

The only photo I have ever posted is of my darling Tom, I keep wanting to add others but haven't wanted to let go of this one.....great idea Debbie! The photo of my husband was right after Christmas a month before he passed, his face was full of such hope, oh how I miss him.

We always had holiday occassions at our house. It's perfect for entertaining. Since Rudy's passing though I haven't been up to it. Sitting here this past weekend, looking at the empty patio and a cold BBQ I remembered all the fun family times we had. The family is drifting away and someone needs to throw out the net to gather them in. I have decided to have Thanksgiving here as we always did. There will be three empty places, my dad, Rudy's dad and Rudy. I changed the picture to show Rudy at Thanksgiving, so proud of the Turkey he deep fried. I cooked a traditional just in case. What a fun and funny day that Thanksgiving was.

I seem to be the net that is holding the combined families together too. Last year Thanksgiving was my toughest holiday. Not looking forward to any of them this year, but they are coming whether we like it or not.

What a great idea! Well, this is the same picture of him because it is my absolute favorite. We were at my younger daughter's beautiful outside wedding in Montana. He is sitting quietly observing people, something he really enjoyed doing, beer in hand, a total look of contentment on his face. We drove out there from the midwest through Yellowstone and other awesome scenery, flew to Seattle, WA after the wedding and then back home. It was the most wonderful vacation we ever took together, and memories of it help sustain me today.

Great idea Debbie! I'm posting this with much pride and a smile. This is my Mike when he was in the Air Force, eight years before he was diagnosed. I'll always remember him this way. It's true- there's just something about a man in uniform!

This is Mark at about 1 year before be left us. The chemo seemed to be working then.He was such a wonderful guy and I miss him so much.
